BEADY EYE ANNOUNCE SECOND SINGLE

2011-03-21 15:00:00

Beady Eye will release their second single ‘Millionaire’ on 2nd May 2011. The track is taken from their recently released debut album ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’ which entered the UK charts at No. 3 and has subsequently gone gold. The album has charted around the world, including No.1 in Japan.

‘Millionaire’ will be available digitally and as a 7” single with ‘Man Of Misery’ (already a live favourite) as the b-side. A limited edition numbered 7” and collectors box to store the vinyl singles released so far will also be available exclusively via the band's store. A standard version of the 7" will be available through select retailers.

The video for ‘Millionaire’ was shot in Spain whilst the band were on tour and also features exclusive live footage from the dates.

Has this already sold out or not even come on sale yet? To qoute above ‘Millionaire’ will be available digitally and as a 7” single with ‘Man Of Misery’ (already a live favourite) as the b-side. A limited edition numbered 7” and collectors box to store the vinyl singles released so far will also be available exclusively via the band's store. But I cannot find it in the store?

I think this is going to do good, it's my teachers favorite Beady Eye tune and I think the lyrics are top. "desperate for inspiration as the months run down like rain" is my favorite line.

For god sake people...the charts don't matter!remember, crazy frog, bob the builder @#$*!ing justin bieber jls THEY have topped charts.up to like 40-50 years ago the charts really meant something, they used to be a reflection of ability, now it's the opposite, the @#$*!ter you are the better you do and vice-versa! so let's not worry about how beady eye do with their singles etc, as long there is YOU AND I to connect with their music and love what they do, that is more of an authority than any chart trust me!I LOVE MILLIONAIRE BY THE WAY!
Shannon_Louise i wish they'd take out kill for a dream !
What strange comment, how and why exactly would they extract such a quality tune from DGSS. It should be made a single, I'm happy they have gone for Millionaire as the next single to be released.

agreed Millionaire is probably my third least liked track from the album. Its an ok listen and plods along ok, but surely Kill for a Dream would have been a far more popular choice!

Millionaire or For Anyone are the only real commercial tracks that could be released. Kill For A Dream isnt commercial enough and The Beat Goes On could only be released if they cut it down and released a radio edit. Does anyone know why it says DGSS was No 1 in Japan on here when on Wikipedia it says they achieved No: 5 as there highest position in Japan?

have to agree its a poor choice for a single.definitely see it struggling commercially, great tune but the beat goes on or another would have been a better choice i think.

The Beat Goes On would of been in for a shot at number one single but Millionaire I think will struggle, I hope Iam wrong because I do like the song but I dont think a new audiance will shine to it!!!! Pity about the second choice single!!!!

This is a great album track but not sure it's strong enough to be a single in it's own right. For me I would have loved to have seen "KIll for a Dream" or "The Beat Goes On" released as the next single. Either way I hope it achieves a good chart position to give Beady Eye the recognition they deserve and to give the charts a much needed kick up the arse. Oasis are dead, long live Beady Eye...
